Noor Daher Ali is an ambitious young professional who has stunned his peers with his ability to turn small initiative to greater and vibrant community unit. Born in 1986, he joined Kiunga primary school 1995 and sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in 2002. He proceeded to Lamu Boys Secondary School in 2003 where he did his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2006. He joined Coast Star Teacher’s Training College from where he graduated with a diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD). He is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at the Mt. Kenya University.
Noor founded Kiunga Youth Bunge Initiative in 2011 and has since saw it make great strides in delivering services to the community. He is the current youth ambassador in Kiunga-Raskiamboni and has mentored so many youths in the area of peace and development.
Noor has championed the following project so far.
• He is a voice to many youths in the region especially in Kiunga-Raskiamboni border; he has been able to address the plight of many youth in the area. This has been possible through organising youth mentorship forum that help to address their challenges and at the same time offering local solution to their problems.
• Currently he is working with local administration, security agents, religious leaders and donor agents to address issues of radicalization which has engrossed youth in the region.
Nyumba kumi initiative in Kiunga –Raskiamboni has been strengthened by series of meeting and training which have been by Noor. His initiatives of conducting community policing training has strengthened the relationship between the public and the police officers in Kiunga.
